9.45am Julian from Really Awesome Coffee will be parked outside the Chapter House entrance so that you can get a free barista coffee/hot drink and cake before the event starts. If you can please bring your own reusable cup to save generating unnecessary waste, we’d really appreciate it.
10-10.30am Please register at the table just inside the Chapter House doors. You will be given a name sticker, which will also be marked up to show which small groups you have been allocated to, based on the information you submitted when you registered.
Please assemble in the Chapter House (round room) for a 10.30 start.
10.30am In the Chapter House Orit Azaz, who is facilitating the day, will start the proceedings.
11am Small group session #1. Each group will be looked after by a locally-based creative practitioner who will have responsibility for fostering a caring and generous group dynamic, keeping an eye on the time and ensuring ideas are captured.
11.45am Comfort break and switch groups
12 noon Small group session #2.
12.35pm Assemble back in the Chapter House (round room) for the whole group session.
1.30pm Gathering closes, and there will be a light buffet lunch by Miss Ellies of Coventry available in the Refectory. Please take this opportunity to connect with anyone you’ve not yet managed to connect with and perhaps give us a bit of feedback on the event, if you can’t stay for the reflection session.
2-3pm Reflection/decompression session in the Chapter House, where the space will be held by Mary Gregory, Canon for Arts and Reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral. Please note that this is an optional extra session, and you are welcome to bring food and drinks in.
3pm Event closes.
Refreshments:
In addition to the coffee van at the start, we will also have an urn of hot water in the Refectory. Basics (teabags, instant coffee and dairy/plant milk) will be available for you to help yourselves throughout the day, but please feel free to bring your own herbal tea bags, refillable water bottle, cold drinks and/or any snacks you might need in addition to this. Although there is a short comfort break timetabled in, you are welcome to duck out at any time for a drink, comfort break or a bit of head space.
Access info:
Our event is happening in all the spaces on the lower ground floor (accessed via the Chapter House entrance door on Priory Street) of the new cathedral. There is step free access to all the spaces that we are using across Coventry Cathedral, but the new accessible toilet facilities are on the floor above, and accessed via lift. If you need a quiet space at any point, you can access one of the small upstairs chapels via the lift. I’ve put some photos together to help you locate the accessible toilet and chapels – you can find those here.
Feedback:
There will be the opportunity to reflect and give feedback on the day, but we will also be glad to receive feedback by email – which you can send to me and I will share with the team. We’ve tried to take all the information you submitted in your registration form into account when planning this event. If, on the day, you have any questions about anything operational, please find and ask me.
