In typical – gently radical – fashion, Coventry has taken the decision that its Cultural Strategy should be collectively devised, owned and delivered. The Culture Works Collective is the method we have devised to make this happen.

How did all this begin?
You can find a condensed origin story explaining how the original The Future Works (FWI) event (where the Culture Works Collective was born) came into being on the ‘Background‘ page, and further historical context of F13 (small scale/independent/freelance sector)’s journey to this point – recorded in intermittent blog posts here. Originally this site was made as a quick way to share the materials prepared for The Future Works event, held at Coventry Cathedral on January 18th 2024, but since then, much has changed and so the site is expanding!
